Meyer Lemon Marmalade
Every winter when there is no local fruit available we make marmalade. We can usually find blood oranges, oranges, grapefruit and a few other fun things but this winter was particularly special. Back in January we went to San Francisco to attend the Good Food Awards. While there we loaded up on lots of amazing citrus we found at Bi-Rite Market and lugged it home on the plane. Bi-Rite is an amazing grocer with 2 locations, plus a creamery in San Francisco. They are also one of the only places you can purchase our jams outside North Carolina. We brought back Seville Oranges and mandarinquats, and gorgeous organic Meyer lemons, which we made into this delicious and simple marmalade.
